Not too long ago, Mazda changed their tag line to “Driving Matters,” and in a rare case of a brand living up to its promotional message, I think Mazda have truly delivered on their promise.
This was truly a fun ride every time I got behind the wheel. The 2017 Mazda 6 comes forward with great appeal and dynamic design aesthetic as is found in most vehicles in the Mazda line.
For the new model year, subtle changes in and out, aim to keep the Mazda 6 fresh in the minds of medium sedan lovers. The segment is not as popular as it once was, but the Mazda 6 remains on top of the pile.
Externally, the 2017 Mazda 6 has a classy street presence. It features sporty contours and one of the most popular grille designs in the market. On the Grand Touring, this grille is flanked by dazzling LED headlights and rides on dark silver-finished

2014 tweaks and redesign for the 2016 model continue to 2017 with reshaped side mirrors. This does not mean there is anything wrong with that: The midsize sedan remains a stylish and sporty-looking alternative to its generically-designed competitors.
Interior features and materials have been upgraded in the Grand Touring and the sedan receives a brand-new steering wheel design. It has Nappa leather seats set in off-white or black with a new satin finish metal trim as well as heaters for outboard rear seats and the steering wheel.
The ingenious Active Driving Display (A.D.D.), Mazda’s head up display in which a reflective screen pops up on the top of its dash, gets an upgrade to full-color with greater brightness. The driver info display on the instrument cluster is also full-color.
I found this feature to be extremely convenient, you can feel the added amount of safety. I’m precious cargo so I can appreciate that.
Under the Hood
The 184 hp, naturally aspirated 2.5 liter four-cylinder SkyActiv G engine remains, as do the 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmission systems.
New G Vectoring Control software will enhance chassis performance by employing little engine torque, increasing stability and grip, limiting under steer and improving ride control. Mazda claims this system will also help to improve stability and handling in slippery conditions, like rain or snow.

On face value, the 2017 Mazda 6 will safely remain the market leader in its segment, with the excellent blend of quality, value, insulation and comfort.
I loved the sound system, the connectivity, and abundance of sexy tech features. The fact that it is such an engaging car to drive is an added bonus. The Mazda 6, for a while now, has been an exceptional car in the sedan class – and this may be the case for a long time to come.
